Christmas Carol for the Modern Licensee may need to be sung in plain song as it doesn’t scan!

LiquorOn the first day of Christmas my lawyer said to me
Have a premises manager with a personal licence

On the second day of Christmas my lawyer said to me
Have two personal licence holders in case one of them goes away

On the third day of Christmas my lawyer said to me
Have notices relating to children and young persons in each bar, at the doors and on the cigarette vending machines

On the fourth day of Christmas my lawyer said to me
Check ID of all who seem to be under 25 and see passport or driving licence or a pass card

On the fifth day of Christmas my lawyer reminded me of the
Five licensing objectives, the prevention of crime and nuisance protection of children and health and  securing public safety

On the sixth day of Christmas my lawyer said to me
Have you got your festive extensions, and trained your staff who sell or serve alcohol if temporary for at least 2 hours and put training records in file

On the tenth day of Christmas my lawyer said to me

On the eleventh day of Christmas my lawyer said to me
Prepare well for “Mad” Friday, ensure you have all staff required including any stewards, and consider your safe home policy

On the twelfth day of Christmas my lawyer said to me
